Worldline's Mobile Acceptance solution chosen by Transilien, the renowned SNCF-owned suburban railway service, to manage the payment and regularization of tickets on-the-go

Bezons, 19 December 2017. Worldline [Euronext: WLN], Worldline [Euronext: WLN], the European market leader in payment and transaction services, has been selected by Transilien for its Mobile Acceptance solution to manage the payment and regularization of tickets on-the-go. Already installed on c. 100 terminals, the solution will be deployed in the first half of 2018 on 300 terminals.

The constant evolution of travellers' expectations and uses (increased mobile use, consumption of mobility as a service, journeys’ fluidity using different transport means, etc.) pushes mobility stakeholders to deliver their services innovatively in order to simplify the customer experience.

With Transilien, purchasing tickets becomes simple and secure. Since March 2017, Transilien has implemented on-the-go tickets sales at stations and during public or professional events thanks to Worldline's solution, WL Mobile Acceptance.

The Worldline solution allows Transilien to quickly and easily accept card payments in on-the-go environments, thanks to a Spire mobile payment terminal and an electronic payment application. The user experience for Transilien’s agents is very simple, fluid and fast: they are equipped with the payment terminal which is connected via Bluetooth to the smartphone that has the Transilien’s sales application.

"We chose Worldline to support our use cases’ transformation. We have identified travellers' expectations and we believe that on-the-go card payment can ease the wait time at the stations’ sales machines as well as facilitate the regularization of tickets, with notably agents positioned at the gates. The agents appreciate the simplicity and efficiency of the mobile application, and customers appreciate the dynamic image conveyed by this mobile solution", says Philippe Vilandrau, Systems, Sales, Validation and Pricing Projects Manager of at Transilien

"Worldline believes that the traveller must be at the center of the mobility services offered by the transport companies. It is essential to take into account their needs and expectations to adapt the mobility offer. Transilien understands that, faced with an abundance of mobility services, it is necessary to stand out and get closer to customers in order to serve them better and Worldline is proud to support such a key player in its strategic evolution", says Claude France, Managing Director of Worldline France.
